Our walkers are all valued employees and enjoy being part of a team. When we hire new walkers, we are looking for long-term help and not people that are only around for a couple of months. Our pups don't like change too much as they like to snuggle with their walker long-term. The schedules change a LOT, so if change annoys you...then this isn't the right job for you.

All employees are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a working cell phone.
  • GPS needed on occasion.
  • Must have a working vehicle -- no bicycles or skateboards, etc...
  • Must not be afraid of any dog breed.
  • Must be able to work with a variety of dogs in various sizes and strengths.
  • Must be able to follow client and company directives and not insert your own beliefs without getting prior approval from BARK AVENUE.
  • Must follow proper dress code.
  • Must be able to build your business through community outreach and networking.
  • Must have a "can-do" attitude.
  • Must have excellent time-management skills.
  • Must possess the ability to do your job without passing judgement on the homes you enter.
  • Must remain confidential and trustworthy. 
  • Must be open to constructive feedback and have strong communication skills. 
  • BARK AVENUE, LLC vets potential clients before any employee is allowed to enter a home alone.
  • Employees are not allowed to bring children or other pets to work.
  • Employees are not allowed to bring non employees into client's homes.
  • Potential new hires must pass a criminal background check before being hired.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and legally allowed to work in the USA.
